English: East Stoke is a village in the Purbeck district of the English county of Dorset. It is situated some three miles west of Wareham. The village has a population of 439 (2001). The Freshwater Biological Association runs a research centre at East Stoke on the banks of the River Frome, the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust runs its research into atlantic salmon declines from the site.
